I’m not the only who’s pregnant around here. My good friend and partner in crime, Monika from Hello Brielle, is pregnant too! She’s about 10 weeks behind me, which has worked out splendidly for our event throwing–when I felt crappy she felt good, then when she felt crappy, I felt good. Anyway, we’re both feeling a little tired right about now, so we had to keep her Pink & Blue Ombre Gender Reveal Party super simple. However despite it’s simplicity, it turned out beautifully!
Monika has been craving cereal most of her pregnancy, so it only made sense to have a breakfast party and serve lots of cereal. And donuts, because you can’t just serve cereal, and who doesn’t love donuts? For the healthy people (of which we are not), we threw in some fruit and almond milk. Finally, we served reveal cake, which we all partook of, even though we’d just eaten donuts and it was only 10am. Drinks were iced coffee, water, and juice for the kiddos.
Our theme was pink & blue ombre so the decor corresponded accordingly. I made some rosettes for our backdrop. Monika dipped the cups and spoons in varying shades of pink & blue paint, which turned out super cute! She also designed a banner and Gender Clue Poster to match her invitation. Finally, we used two of those super, massive, giant balloons–one pink and one blue–with pink & blue ombre tassels (see tutorial here) to finish off our tablescape. Like I said, super simple.

Guess & Win:
Guests could cast their vote for the baby’s gender and be entered in a raffle win an amazing prize. Honestly, I don’t even know what the prize was because I was the person who knew the gender ahead of time and couldn’t vote. But I think it was a movie ticket package. Anyway, once a vote was cast, guests could sport their guess by wearing a pin–either a pink hair bow or blue bow tie. I made the pins using die cuts purchased from Baby Binkz on Etsy.
It’s a girl!!! Monika and I are so excited to have our baby girls together! This also means you can probably expect a lot of girlie parties to show up over the next few years. Congratulations to the Hello Brielle family!
